Images from A Cultural Memory "The Village": Exhibition of Fazendeville Community History at Battle Ground Baptist Church, November 2015
Dr. Joyce Marie Jackson served as curator for this exhibition, showing historical photos from the Fazendeville community, that was leveled due to eminent domain in 1964. It sat at the site where the Battle of New Orleans was fought, displacing the entire community, including families and members of the original Battleground Baptist Church.
Valerie Lindsay Schexnayder, daughter of Val and Elizabeth Lindsay, family who preserved and provided images used for exhibition.
